FUTURECOM The simplicity of order entry and matching on the Exchange is unparalleled in any current trading system. First, there is no software requirement for your computer. Trading requirements are:
Futurecom members will connect to the Internet using their Internet provider. Once an Internet connection is established they may request a connection to the FutureCom site at www.futurecom.org. Information about the Exchange will be posted on the web site and traders can fill out an account application, review frequently asked questions and view other information describing how the Exchange works. Membership will be approved according to standards developed by the FutureCom Exchange Clearinghouse and an applicant will be notified of acceptance as soon as the application has been processed and accepted. All members will be required to establish an e mail account with FutureCom. Exchange news, order fills, closed position profit or loss reports, monthly statements, and margin calls will all be processed using email. Any qualified member may log on to the Exchange trading floor by clicking on trading on the front page of the web site. Users will be asked for their member identification number and password before gaining admission to the secure trading server. Once a member is logged into the trading server, simple menus are available to guide the user around the Exchange.
FutureCom Menu Check account balances. This report will begin with your account balance at the beginning of the month. Line items will list your adjustments since the first of the month and will include contributions [margins], withdrawals, commissions, and profits or losses on closed positions. Each account balance will also include unrealized profit or loss on open positions adjusted to the last tick of the Exchange. All account balances are providing members with real time information current through the time of inquiry. Place a trade.This menu will allow traders to enter orders or close open positions. This is the gateway to trading. Members will be able to select the month and contract they wish to trade and will be able to view the Best Five bids to buy and offers to sell in the selected month and contract while they are entering their order. Traders entering market orders will be able to continue to the open position menu for information on the fill price in addition to receiving confirmation via email. Order entry is simply filling out the form. You must fill in certain fields for the order to be complete. If you fail to fill in a necessary field you will receive an error message and the message will reference the missing field or fields. Once the order entry form is complete you will click a button to submit it. You will go to a second screen that will then display the order as you have entered it and you can review it for accuracy and intent. From this second screen, you will give the final authorization to enter the order. Once the order is entered and confirmed it will become a valid order on the Exchange. Modify or cancel an order. Any order, not filled, may be cancelled or modified by members. The trader will enter through the menu and select the position to be modified or cancelled and enter the change or cancellation instructions. View open positions. Members may view a list of their current open positions listed by commodity by month. View transaction history. This report is a summary of all closed positions detailing the dates of the transaction and the profit or loss resulting from each closed position. Quotes.Each commodity and month offered for trading may be viewed for current prices and price ranges for the day. Options on the contracts also may be viewed for price information. Market news.Current information about contracts traded on FutureCom from the government and other sources will be posted on the Exchange. Market charts.Graphs detailing the market price moves of a particular contract will be available to traders. These charts will detail the interday price moves, and daily and weekly views of a month in a particular contract.
Support Desk A support desk will be available to answer your questions about the Exchange. Questions will be submitted via email and same day response is provided except for instances of extremely large volumes of mail.
